This will be my first PCGS Show as I’ll be in Vegas next week and I was wondering about on site grading and coin submission. For coins I want them to deliver later to me I assum I just fill out one of their forms and have all the coins in flips just like I would if I mailed the order in? The on-site grading question : do these need to be in flips as well or can I leave them say in the mint box or capsule? Do they do reconsiderations on site as well?

Don't quote me on that.

Things may have changed but several years ago I tried to get them to onsite grade a 16d dime. They said they'd have to send it in for grading since it was valued over 3k. Not sure if they still have show limits at some shows. However, they were willing to fill out all the forms and submissions right there.

  • Good Afternoon,

If you would like to drop off your coins at the show to be graded at the office you will just need to fill out the submission form and put the coins into mylar flips. If you happen to run out please keep in mind that we will have plenty of supplies at the show for you to use.

For the onsite submissions the coins can be kept in the mint capsules which will need to be placed in the mylar flips. There is no need to submit them with the mint box.
We do offer the Reconsideration service at any onsite grading show. We will be more than happy to assist you at the show if you have any questions.

If you have any questions before the show next week please feel free to contact Customer Service at 800-447-8848 and one our wonderful Representatives will be able to assist you.

    PCGSCSLead and others:

Is there just a review fee for the submission you only wanted to be slabbed as 70, and anything below return back as raw?

Certainly hate to submit 10 coins and all came back as 69 but still have to paid the full price of $45 each.

This is for modern gold show submission.

Also what's the cut off date and time for end of show pick up on Friday?
