Viewed the coin at Heritage (post auction buys) several days ago.
Now it is haunting me as I read the news.
Maybe I better buy it.

I had the same thing happen with a coin I was looking at on Heritage. Whenever I'd look around at other sites, the Heritage ad would come up with the picture of the coin I had looked at. It was sorta creepy

Why isn't the metal listed? I think "essai" means "trial", so it 1 ounce .999 of what? I guess the engraver was too busy thinking about the obverse.
This Mermaid looks familiar but I can't quite place her.
