$25 Palladium photo - rim damage? UPDATED Photos

Received my palladium today. Upon close inspection, I noticed the reverse rim beginning from "E" (E Pluribus Unum) thru the end tail of eagle that the rim is so thin or almost looks like no rim. Is this something to be concern? I like the coin and I would rather not return to US Mint or else I would end up paying a lot more on a third party market. Should I send it for grading or just keep it raw? Suggestions and/or comments would be greatly appreciated. See photo below and thanks. If photo is not clear enough please let me know and I will take more pictures.

These (and last year's) have crappy rims. Graders don't seem to mind, as many 70's have them. Do not return to the mint unless you want to come up empty handed.
I concur
Fortunately I purchased last year’s palladium Eagles from reputable dealers like MCM that gave me exchange privileges when I found this issue on one of the PCGS 70s. Along with one that had a obvious spot.
Once again, not all 70s are created equal. And I saw a fair amount of 70s with distracting rim damage, Some from forum members.
Same here, accept my rim damage is at 12 o'clock. Like others have said they may not have any left to exchange.
The finning Was last year’s most distracting attribute on many of the 70s. Your rim damage iappears fairly minor from the photo
Seems to be a fairly common occurrance so you are not alone.
You need to be ok with it, or best to return it and pay through the nose for a cherrypicked slabbed one (no rim noise).
It seems your coin is "normal".
Good looking coin in any case.
Can you post it out of the capsule?
Yours maybe consider an Errors due to off center strikes. Lets call @ErrorsOnCoins
And yet the TPGers will continue to grade them 70's. I guess EVERYONE gets a trophy.
I guess they consider this as part of the Minting process, wonder if a significant % has this type of issue?
I wouldn't grade mine 70, to many specs and stuff going on on the obverse fields.
morgansforever nice picture I like your set up!
That looks like other palladium's I have seen pictures of..... sort of grungy around the rim. If it is going to bother you, sell it and look for one with a clean rim.... Cheers, RickO
I am not sure if it is a thing or not, but I do have an ANACS Error Coin with a Lable That Says "Crumbled Rim"
I just think that given the value of this coin, and the limited run, an alignment rim problem should not occur. IMO. Although I love me some errors so never mind. Peace Roy

Thanks for the comments. I will sure keep the coin as I've love coins with eagle design. Here's an updated photos of the coin out of the capsule and note the almost missing or very thin rim at the bottom of the coin.
I had a raw 2017, and some of the palladium actually flaked off the rim while I was holding it. I sent her in anyways, and it graded 70... lol.
I am glad you decided to keep it ...... it is very rare in the bigger picture I don't look at it as a flaw here

Glad you kept it send it in to NGC its almost guaranteed to come back a 70!
