1885cc is a fake.....just throw it in with other crap and see what flies? Tried to message seller but doesn't do messages. Made an offer but I'm on his blocked bidder list. He's a known counterfeit seller.

I had no idea how many counterfeit coins were selling on ebay until I joined here and started seeing all of the threads as they pop up for sale. :( Makes me want to stick with my local dealer and those here that sell privately with good reputations.

Many purveyors of counterfeits have a sob story … It’s my beloved grandfather’s collection … These coins met the world to my father … These coins have been the family for years.

They are always tugging at your heartstrings … or your pocketbook.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.
