Nice cent. Like how the break is like a target all the way around the coin.

BOLD strike; great surfaces. Love this 1820. Nice work.

Very nice! Is that for a type set, or are you collecting Large Cents, now?

Great looking coin. Love that die crack through the stars. B)

A nice looking example. The color seems well matched on both obverse and reverse.

Great coin, think I feel that way every time you post a new pickup, you have good taste

I love these Randall hoard coins, especially the 1820 with the circumferential die break. I picked up a similar coin a couple of years ago. The luster and preservation is really special for 200 year-old copper.

Talk about dark chocolate brown. Great strikes. I wonder what the coin looks like that was struck when the die finally failed. Peace Roy

I would call this an attractive smoky brown. Was this coin in CA recently?

I understand the red grape harvest there will be ruined since the resultant wine will be smoked!

That was suggested. It's not yet certain if damage was done.

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/lizazimmerman/2018/05/06/smoke-taint-of-california-wine-grapes-may-be-an-issue-for-the-2017-vintage/#24f8fdc06a97

"The overall impact of possible smoke taint on the bottom-line wines should be minimal, according to Jon Moramarco, the Napa-based editor of and partner in data research firm of Gomberg & Fredrikson. Although he admits that potential damage will need to be examined on a case-by-case basis for individual wineries."

The coin is slabbed as a 64.
    I have tried to discern why it wasn't 65 but ....really...can't. :|
