Just read up on Calais Maine. Sounds like an interesting place. Perhaps some Canadian came over and spent it.

It is a long distance, but 1959 is also a long distance from 2018

Could have rolled there downhill from Denver in that amount of time. :) Nice find.

Calais, Maine. We drove through there (about 20 years ago) on our road trip through Maine, New Brunswick and up to Prince Edward Island. If memory serves it was a quaint and sparsely populated town.

    Edited for spelling.

    Congrats on his find. Donato

Silver quarters are rare around here.
I haven't found one in quite a long time.

Nice find. Last time I received a silver quarter was when it "clunked" out of a .25 cent slot machine 20 or so years ago. That's when the machines still spit out your winnings in change, not the vouchers. That sound stood out over the clad quarters that came out with the silver coin.
