Anybody win auctions from ebay seller "gold_standard_guy"?

Lots of expensive raw coins that look nice in the photos and seem to get spirited bidding. However, my spidey sense tells me these are problem or hairlined coins with well angled "glamour" photos. Also, as someone else posted, the "new" ebay seller "great-midwest-estates" seems to have comparable coins, photos and bidding.

There should be ample feedback soon with gold prices dropping and people taking advantage of the market... Or are these special collector coins? Cheers, RickO
I've not won any because I wouldn't bid on any of his offerings. As you noticed, all look like overhyped problem coins which sell for moon money.
I just bought what l thought was a beautiful coin from gold_standard_guy only to send it in and find out not only was it cleaned, but it had damage on it l did not see in the pics.. Came back AU details.
If only I could get this book.

they sell heavily on hibid as an auctioneer. The coins they shill up with no buyers go to eBay for awhile. If you buy a certified coin from them, you are probably fine.
Too bad you did not see this thread before you bid. Hopefully it was low tuition on a cheap coin.
