Or should we wait a couple more years?

I don’t know if bust is quite the right word. Depends on if that shoulder is the same. I’d say we’ll know if he’s finished by the end of this season and then, maybe, yes.
I think of a bust as more of Ryan Leaf. Luck has been pretty good when healthy and has not exactly had much of a team around him.
I say this all with no ax to grind whatsoever.

I never got the hype with him, when healthy he reminded me too much of Brett Favre and not the HOF SB winning Favre, more like the Favre that repeatedly made bad throws at the worst times. That being said his team had one of the worst GM's in football trying to build a team around Luck before his injury.

I liked the guy , I thought he was completely mismanaged by that idiot Pagano
A bust? 4700 yds & 40 TDs in 2014. 4200 yds & 31 TDs in 2016. Busts don't do that. Has he lived up to the hype? Nope. A bust? Nope.
But no rings, Tabe. Luck was the QB of the decade.
No?
I think if his shoulder is really ok then he still can be a top tier QB, the problem is that Indy is not doing him any favors with the team around him.
Yes, too soon. He needs to get healthy. If he can't stay on the field, unfair or not he will be labeled a bust.
ask RGIII
RGIII is a bust because he refused to adjust to the NFL and instead was expecting the NFL to adjust to him. He was also in a bad spot and those who should have look out for him didn’t.
What they have in common - Luck and RGIII - is that both guys thought they were different and could handle the hits or outrun them and extend the play. They’re not the first to think that way and most who did suffered similar fates. The NFL is too fast and too strong and you just have to duck or throw it away unless it’s the playoffs. Play another down...

Speaking of Indy's horrible GM Grigson,if this wasn't a guy on a power trip I don't know what is.

Who is this Doug Miller, and how do i go about nominating him for mayor of Philadelphia?
Like I said, hasn't lived up to the hype. But bust? Busts are complete failures. Luck is most definitely not that.
I don't know if I agree with your definition of a bust. Getting drafted #1 overall and being below average could be considered a bust.
Championships are a ridiculous way of measuring QB's. It's a team sport.
I haven't followed his career that closely, but he seems to be pretty good, but not great.
I feel like at least once a terrible coach named joe pagano rushed him back from an injury because the coach was going to get fired
In defense of Andrew Luck, the teams he has played on have been terrible. And again, stats can be misleading. If your team isn’t that good and you never throw into coverage, you will simply lose. Sometimes, you have to try to squeeze it in anyway. That results in interceptions. This guy has an amazing skill set and had MVP caliber seasons already and had he gone to a more competent franchise, he’d have likely have even better numbers and have stayed healthier. He didn’t have that luxury and he tried to win anyway - nearly succeeding a few years early on - but leaving it all on the field takes its toll. Had he began his career in, say, Denver or Houston (picked because that seemed to be the biggest weakness for two pretty good teams during Lucks early days), we might be talking about a Bronco or Texan dynasty. He was that good. That’s not a bust.
Ryan Leaf? Todd Blackledge? Sure.
Andrew Luck is more ironic because he hasn’t had any in the NFL...

Indy has been a wasteland since the days of P Manning. Their D perennially sucks, therefore it matters not who is behind center and who is/isn't healthy. Luck could be a modern-day Johnny U and he'd still be an afterthought..........because no one will ever witness him playing in February.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
