3 More Washington Quarter Varieties Added to Set.

Now Down to 46 left out of 185 coin set. I went 3 for 4 coins last Sunday at GC. First up is the 1945 DDO 101 I decided to upgrade my AU 55. Pop of 14 with Only 8 of those in MS
Second coin up is the 1959 RPM FS 501. There are 12 coins graded and this is the First one I have seen that does NOT have the same pickup points on the Obverse. Should be a good Study Piece. Blast white and another one in hand looks better than a 64
Last coin is the 1963 D DDO 101. Only 7 coins graded 6 of those MS.
Thanks for Looking. Enjoy Tom

@1tommy ....Wow...that 1959 quarter is amazing... surprised it is only a 64...Cheers, RickO
Nice pick-ups Tom.
Nice additions! Did you find the '63 in a Mint set?
Tom,
Congrats on the coins. The 45 is a good looking coin. The 59 will get sent back to our host I have a feeling.

Solid purchases, and I love the series. Thank you for sharing!
All very nice my friend! I believe the 1959-D is an earlier die state than the example on Variety Vista and Wexler's. All of the die cracks on the reverse aren't nearly as progressed, and the RPM looks correct. One can assume in earlier die states it was paired with a different obverse die. The gouge from E to R is definitely in a different location, and I can't see a gouge from B to E at all. Great eye and awesome coin!
Have you thought about sending it to Dr. Wiles? We know markers come and go with time, but If it is a different obverse die, it would be great to have the information out there. Some rely too heavily on markers and could second guess themselves and pass on an example simply because the gouge from B to R looks wrong. Just a thought.
