Perhaps one of the better Private Collector websites ever built? (Feedback?)

I recently finished my Collector website. I am just an amateur collector, not a dealer. If anyone has any feedback, let it fly. My only complaint with the website is I used WordPress to build it and I find WordPress a bit slow to load (a few seconds). By the way, Wordpress was a pain in the arse to learn.

Although I do have a "Store" link at the top, it was more to see if I could get the store software to work, so I only have a single coin listed (more as a test).

If anyone knows of a better private collector website, provide a link as I'd like to see it.
Any suggestions for improvements or feedback in general?

    Very Nice! I like it.

It's certainly the best personal (non commercial) coin website I've ever seen. Lots of great information with the potential to grow even better. The added bonus of including articles from other collectors to the blog is a great feature.

This is exactly what I'd like to do with my personal collection at some point down the line. The goal would not necessarily to sell, but rather to show off a carefully assembled collection, and perhaps promote the hobby while doing so. Wonderful!

Very nice. Your attention to detail is excellent. It held my attention. Heck, I even heard the Russian judge flashed it at 9.6

Overall the site is very well done. Thank you for sharing.

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Paul, Love the website! Took the time to read your magazine article. Great read. Overall great job. You are extremely talented. Thanks for sharing!

Paul, only complaint I have is having a hard time reading the magazine section, Im not sure if Im just bad at technology but I had to zoom out to switch the page and then zoom back in to read at a size I could comfortably read. Otherwise it looks amazing!

Paul, looks great. The amount of time to create your website is worth it by what I can see. The colors are vibrant and jump off the page, A+.

I really enjoyed the website and can't say I've seen a better one for a personal collector. You did an awesome job! The images in the articles are fantastic. I also found the articles interesting and well written. I'm looking forward to reading new articles especially those regarding toned Lincoln cents! One suggestion or thought, would be to have images of your collections directly on the website that are larger and of higher resolution than those on the registry sets.

I am very impressed @wingedliberty .... the color scheme is very catchy and I book marked it to see your progress ;)
Best wishes for your success <3

Outstanding and looks like a ton of work.
I enjoyed every corner I explored.
I would not change a single thing other than what you see fit.
Its clear to me that you that you put an extreme amount of thought into what you created and I imagine it will be tweaked and evolve in a measured way.

I enjoyed your website! Thank you for the share. My thoughts:

    pros -
nice layout, mobile as well as pc
    BEAUTIFUL colors / photos
    url good name
    photos very high quality
good separation of text / images to keep the pages interesting
the main image slide-in on page transition is a cool plus!
including a blog and search function is cool

    cons -
the nav menu is a tad slow, and menu items should be differentiated more when rollover (imo)
hero cards on the home page should be actual css / html instead of photos. text is fuzzy and easily discerned as images instead of rendered text
hero cards - edit - I see that the blog layout "https://wingedliberty.com/blog/" DOES use html / css instead of static images such as found on the home page. so I would just update the items on the home page

green eye chick makes me think about nvidia gaming ... not coins

    ? -
why when changing a page, the background color changes to purple, then back to the standard layout? was that a hold-over from coding?
copyright questions (that I honestly know nothing about) additional photos - (example, lincoln portrait located here: https://wingedliberty.com/coins-lincoln-cents-ms/) do you have rights to display that or should you caption a link to the photo?) additionally, it would be neat info to know when / why that portrait was done. inaugural sitting? some other special occasion? where did that come from? - just my curiosity ...

One thing I'm working on is uploading high-res coin photos to my site to build a gallery. I know that you have kind of done that by linking to you registry sets. and also linking to the coin boards ... it's the same, but different.

Overall, very well done. I am surprised you don't call yourself a professional. Because it appears to be of professional quality. Really well done. Thanks again for the share.

@WingedLiberty1957....That is very impressive. I know nothing about creating a website. That looks like a lot of work and I cannot suggest improvements as others have. I like the colors and content and had no trouble navigating the site. Cheers, RickO

    First Impression and IMO.

Your homepage has too much text, I suggest you make links for the different topics and have big phots instead. ( I do see the links, maybe make them bigger [not too big] with a photo)

You have some awesome photos on your website.

I am a visual person and when I click on a website, I want to see Large awesome photography right off the bat.

I also like a simple design and not a complex design.

Navigation is kinda weird, but I did not go too deep.

Get rid of the green-eyed girl.

Hope this helps, as criticism is way better than pats on the back.

Color me impressed! My daughter works in the website industry and I have absolutely no idea most of the time what she's talking about; however her passion is inspiring and I can only imagine how much hard work and crafting you have spent on this endeavor. I enjoyed the time spent, and thank you for sharing it.

Paul, I find your web sire to be excellent and very informative, as well as a nice showcase for your coins. I too collect Lincoln toned proof coins from 1019 as an extension of my toned indian proof set (Paha sapa Indians). After 1936 toned Lincoln proofs are much more rare than RD coins and are special as most have totally unique toning patterns.

Nice site and presentation for your collection. It's clear you put a lot of thought and effort into it.

Since you asked for feedback, my preference is for sites that have easy navigation to large photos like your previous sites with the black background TrueViews. While our hosts didn't approve of your previous site, they have said that people can do anything they want with their TrueViews, so it may be okay if you had a site that was limited to your own coins. Since your collection and new site are focused on beautiful coins, it seems strange there doesn't seem to be a way to view large format photos on your site.

One way to do this may be do turn your coin board photos into clickable image maps or web pages similar to Coin Rarities Online. When clicking each one, you could be presented with a large photo, like a PCGS TrueView max size photo on a pop up or webpage.

Again, my preference doesn't need to be your preference, but I offered it since you asked.

Looks great to me, very informative, wish I had time to read more, I'm going to have to come back again later.
I only saw one coin in the store, was hoping for more!!!!! I found the navigation worked better than some sites I've visited.

Great comments. Thanks to all that posted. I will noodle with how to address some of the complaints. Mostly about the desire for more and bigger coin images. I probably need some sort of "zoomed imagery" page.
