I picked up a Leuchtturm Digital Microscope, which I don't think I like too much. It's difficult to focus, manually operated, and the software doesn't allow brightness or contrast adjustments. It may be ok for occasional use.
But, here are some coal scrip images with repunched letters.

    I bought a Plugable usb microscope for $20+ on Amazon. Focuses easy, dimmer control on the unit works well, unit is on a flexible neck that allows for the slightest angle adjustments that gives contrast. Software is free and images are just like your macros. IMO. Peace Roy
