A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!
COME TO LAS VEGAS FOR THIS AUCTION AND SEE THE 1913 5C AND THE 1804 DEXTER DOLLAR!
Legend Numismatics believe auctions should be special, not just a days long non stop lot orgy. We are proud to announce that our partner Bruce Morelan and our long time Legend customer (who owns half the 1913) will make the 1913 5C available for a special gathering we are having starting 3 PM Wed and closing at 5 right before our auction starts. To make this even more historical, Bruce has agreed to place the Dexter $1 1804 on display as well. Access to this event will limited to registrants at the show for our auction. In addition, Legend Numismatics will give all collectors who register and attend one free walk through submission (must be used at he show). To see these two coins up close and together is truly special.
We thank PCGS for co sponsoring this event!
If you are a regular Legend Numismatics customer and plan on attending, RSVP Serena Meyers : serena@legendauctions.com. Make your plans today. We think you’ll have a great time!

RE: "...our partner Bruce Morelan and our long time Legend customer (who owns half the 1913) will make the 1913 5C available..."
Nice, This raises a question, however. Which half of the 1913 Liberty nickel does Mr. Morlan own? Obverse. Reverse. Left half. Top half. Does he own the date and other inscriptions and Legend owns the big "V" and wreath, or.....? Maybe it's a undivided interest in which each alloy crystal has a name tag?
In any case, that's a very nice gesture to have the coins for viewing and provide one free walk-though authentication & grading. Now.....where's i put those Stellas...?
Thank you for the opportunity to see
these two TREASURES!! Wish I could be there.
Bruce owns the period on the back. LOL!
Ooops. I forgot to write in the announcement it is Wed 3-5 at the Cosmo Sept 26th.
Legend Free Lunches are positively great. I know I went to one. Met Laura, got some free comic book stuff in certified holders, don't know if this ever took off. Got to hold a brick of gold from the SS Central America WOW ! heavy. Met Laura who is quite nice and personable up close. Got a Courtesy of Legend Numismatics owner of the Hawaii 5-O specimen encased in "plexiglass" 1913 Nickel. Saw JA there, and Dave Bowers was there too. Told my wife hey you take the food on the plate and you don't make a sandwich out of the roast beef on a tiny roll. Bowers walks by with a tiny roll sandwich of Roast Beef and ketchup. huh hummm wife laughs at me.
This all happened @ Diamond International Galleries July 29th 2003. Now, of course I am an older man why I am 38 years old it's this business I am in that makes me look 62.
I have so many numismatic memories and if you think I am doing this from memory well, I do remember the show and the day, but not the date had to read it off my glass enclosed 1913 nickel with my glasses. Rough life for a 38 year old.
Legend is really a great company.
Man oh man - was that really 15 years ago already?
Well, I have fond memories of many shows, many coin experiences, many historical sites that I associate with rare coins.
Now, It is 15 years and I would have said; "Oh yeah, that was a few years.......ohhhh maybe 5 years ago" but it's a fact it's fifteen years ago. Coins especially commemorative ones have opened my eyes to so many things that shape this country.
Hey ! Where is Diana? You know the over weight beautiful figure that topped the first Madison Square Garden, built by Stanford White, close friend of Augustus Saint Gauden. He was shot dead in 1906 by Harry Kendall Thaw of Pittsburgh at the original MSG over Evelyn Nesbitt his wife. WHAT? you might say. Well, years back I was reading about Augustus Saint Gauden and visiting his home in Cornish NH. .................OH YEAH ! Diana is in the USA section of the Metropolitan museum. So many cool things including a free lunch.
That sounds like a great show and a good deal as well. Hope to see some reports here.... Cheers, RickO
Free lunch? Yeah, if you take your Big Mac token to Micky D's.
Pete
Paradise got a free lunch today
Nice gesture! Wish I could be there.
I knew it would happen.
What an opportunity for the numismatic gurus
to see three treasures. I wish I could be there,
not only to see the coins but to meet TDN.
