Taco Bell & Silver

CladiatorCladiator Posts: 18,056 ✭✭✭✭✭

We were passing through South Lake Tahoe last Friday and made a gas & food pit stop. Here's the change the cashier at Taco Bell handed me. Got a kick out of it and started off the weekend on a good note. This isn't the first time I've got silver in change but it's been so long I can't remember when the last time was. Definitely first time it wasn't a Rosy, Washington or Kennedy.

I've gotten silver Washers, but never a SLQ except in coin machine reject slots.

I’m surprised a Taco Bell cashier took that in change. Possibly came from a bank roll and the cashier never noticed it.

Good guess. I was thinking how it was scary that the cashier was passing out something they obviously did not recognize, but good bet it came in a roll and they were not paying attention.

Nice! I was guessing war nickel or Franky. That would make my day!

We use to soak a penny in the taco sauce while we ate and then take the new shiny penny out. Imagine what that stuff does to your guts.
