Anyone else follow the unreal prices for the Landmark Buffalos on GC?

I was hoping to buy some of the short set coins. I wasn't even close. These are like 2x-10x typical prices. Looks like we'll see some of these graded higher soon. Sigh.

1934-d pcgs ms66 cac $5319 hammer (last sold for $2185 in 2010, as high as $5750 in 2005)
1935 pcgs ms67 cac ogh $3100 hammer (sold for $1998 in 2013)
1936 pcgs ms67 cac ogh $4900 hammer (sold for $1880 in 2014)
1936-d pcgs ms67 cac $14300 hammer
1936-s pcgs ms67 cac ogh $10600 hammer (sold for $1645 in 2014)
1937 pcgs ms67 cac ogh $1871 hammer (sold for $925 in 2014).

These are just among what I was watching. I don't follow the market for the older dates (yet) but I'm sure there was probably some sky high prices there.

These are some of the nicest Buffalos I have ever seen. The owner(or should I say former) is a forum member and had a couple of recent threads about them. Amazing herd!

The MS66FH 1929 SLQ probably sold at highest ever price paid for any 1929 quarter, over $10K. Its color is simply mind blowing.

I was interested in a few of the type coins and the prices were extremely strong. I think the fact that they were sold together helped as it showed the collector really had a great eye.

Looks like the VERY TOP END of the market is thriving.

Did anyone see the Ruth Weinberg realizations? The market for original/CAC quality coins is extremely strong.

‘Extremely strong’ is an understatement...I was blown out of the water on the Weinberg 1932 $10 Indian in 64...went for almost 5x PCGS price guide for a 64

I bid on a few of the Buffs. Super nice collection. I usually am able to bag a couple nice ones out of these types of collections, but I wasn't even close to anything. I wish I would have looked harder at some of the Lib $10's of the Weinberg hoard. Some really nice pieces seemed reasonable.
