Question for the Washie guys regarding a DDO

JRoccoJRocco Posts: 14,277 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have been putting away a few unc bank rolls since forever and decided one day to look at
a roll of 81P Washies. Well I found about half dozen of what I believe to be the one known DDO
for the year. Can anyone verify if this is the DDO and if there is any demand for these ? I know nothing about
registry collecting and have no clue if this is something I should verify, slab or just keep in the roll.
Main PUP is RTY of LIBERTY
Thanks in advance.

Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

The 'B' and the 'E' in the first photo look pretty convincing also.

You found something cool for sure! Ain't it great cherrypicking yourself! Doesn't look like either major grading service recognizes the variety. I might have been looking in the wrong place though.

Yup B E and R are strong. Nice find. I hope you have lots more coins to search. Peace Roy

You may want to send it to CONECA for an examination.

Definitely appears to be a DDO....Get it confirmed and slabbed.... and you have more? Cheers, RickO

This may be die deterioration doubling. It appears there are flow lines on the obverse between top of Washington's head and "rty." Also a bit strange that the notching is on the outside bottom right of "r," and inside bottom left of "t."

I could be wrong- just my thoughts. Interesting!
