People Ask me where I get my Error Coins.

I just go to the washing machine where my wife has found three super major error(like) coins on three separate occasions.

What are the odds? ........

I am gunna be rich ....

Cool...I do like the rotational pattern on them. Dare I call it cartwheel?

Below is an auction I think is a good one too, and you get 3 error coins. Don't put the first one in the washing machine though...might clean the error right off!

I hope we don't live with the same water source; copper, nickel and zinc in the waste water supply, to be filtered and passed off for drinking water. Oh, wait a minute, the wash machine water takes a right along with the bathroom water and not a left towards the kitchen. Whew!

Could be a mushroom cloud, or a Bigfoot/Sasquatch on the 13D.

Plus that water must have a lot of chemicals it the soap or maybe bleach? to dissolve that much copper plating I would think. If you bleach a brown penny will it go brighten to red? Time to get out the chemistry set.

Does this mean I should leave all my change in my pockets when I do my wash?

I mean, this might be better than leaving coins in Taco Bell napkins...

The photos posted look like a long

The 'looks' are similar, but they
    include every denomination and
date, and things that have happened
to coins that folks just can't believe
occurred after the coins left the Mint.

Fred..............you hit the nail right on the head.

    I feel for you!

What brand washer does this to coins.

Something tells me attrition is about to increase a lot. So many household appliances mangle coins now days and coins are less likely to be handled properly than ever since they have so little value.

It won't be many years until finding any dime in pocket change without a mint mark is an "oddity" and certain to be a rare circulated proof without a mint mark.

Have you noticed how few of the old pre-1980 dimes are left now. Total attrition is approaching 60% and annual attrition is approaching 4%. These were only supposed to have a life expectancy of 25 years and this is probably not too far off for a dime made today. Those made 50 years ago lasted about 40 years on average.

I'd say change is happening faster than ever but everyone hates it when I do that. ;)
