Philly ANA - 1944-D and 1944-S Zincs

Hey everybody...quick question for those that might have gone to the Rarities Night in person, or have otherwise followed it closely. I'm hyper-interested in the 1944 off-metal Lincolns that show up from time to time. I was stunned that the 44-S (only two known) went for just around $50K, and just about the same price as the 44-D (only 7 or so known). Any insights or comments on that? Maybe everyone cleared out after the 1913 Nickel!? Also was weird that they auctioned the 1944 zincs near the end of the night, all the way after all the gold, instead of in the "cents" part of the auction... When I see an auction listing, I typically just go through the cents part in detail, and don't necessarily look in the section after the double eagles for what I'm looking for...
Thanks!

I can't speak to the sale price of the '44
cents. They are considered errors so they
are listed in that section. Most auction
companies have that category after the
non-error coins. Much easier for collectors
and bidders of these coins.
Well, if the '44 off metal wheaties are going that cheap, I will stop searching for them.....
