Im have been seeing many of these fake early commems all over ebay for the last 2 years. Too many to report.
In any event Im coming up with names for these beauties. Stoned Bear comes into mind on this auction:

I clicked the link and was trying to figure out the problem. Then I realized that new feature that they show you something else to buy after the auction is over. Hit the link to the original action and wow, that is an ugly attempt!

@AUandAG ....Yes, sometimes that is there, and sometimes nothing is there...just a page saying it doesn't exist....not sure why it varies...must be the reason it was taken down or ended. Cheers, RickO

It sure looks like an alien/bear/lion hybrid. I've seen Second Grade art projects that would have been better than that.
The water pattern on the obverse is simply alternating hash marks at 45 degree angles instead of the wave pattern. Why even attempt to make this if you are too lazy to pay attention to the actual details? Makes me wonder if it was made somewhere on the West Coast or Colorado, where it's legal to get stoned.
Another terrible fake on ebay. Iowa with a crown morphed into a "W" on the roof.. Odd decision. What the heck.
