Nice coin saspursfan, I like it a lot. Good score if the premium wasn't too much.
I don't have any pedigree coins, but the Skidaway Island one seem like it had some nice Bust Halves.
I love all bust halves. There are wonderful stories and history behind them. Pick up a copy of Bust Half Fever by Edgar Souders. It's very fun reading and informative without a lot of dry minutia. You won't be sorry.
I'm familiar with the Skidaway Island Collection. IMO the quality of this collection was very inconsistent. Certainly many are quite nice. Some are much less so and appear to have been bought simply as hole fillers in a quest to complete a die marriage set. Let your eye be your guide.
Your 1828 appears to be a nice, original coin. Congrats! Enjoy it.

When I see groups of coins that were put away for a number of years, and find their way into a shop, you can usually tell how selective the collector was. I have seen both good selectivity and not so good, even in the proverbial "old holders".

Comments below the ads are very telling.
As for the "collection name" it's just another ego label.
Thank you everyone for the comments!
Didn't have time to add this one as well.
Here is another one from the same place.
