Return of a great sub...

Just to be clear, this sub contains four tremendous baseball players from rather obscure sets. I don't want people getting mad because these aren't Topps and Bowman. However, I had a few extra bucks and I wanted to get a few cards graded. Mainly, I wanted to see the Joe D in a slab. I knew it how would grade but it just looks so nice in the slab.

In addition, it's probably obvious that I collect the 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos. This rare and gorgeous set has only 201 graded examples, in total. I won't bore you with too many details (though you can click the link in my sig line for loads of information) but I'll share the Yogi Berra from this submission here so you can get a sense for the look of them if you are unfamilar.

Now here is the real reason for the post. I really didn't expect this so I am busting with joy. High grade copies are hard to find in this already hard to find set. How hard? Of the 201 graded examples, only 8 had ever earned a grade higher than 6 (ExMT). Well now, that number is ten thanks to these two stunners. One submission, TWO TOP POP CARDS!

AWESOME sub results! Too bad PSA's holder has the "wrinkles" in the corners.

Thanks so much, guys - the Lemon is a massive upgrade for me - from a 4 to top pop is incredible.
@JoeBanzai
Thanks for the kind words. I actually greatly prefer the inner plastic - in hand, the 'wrinkles' are not nearly as distracting and they help prevent the cards from moving too much (particularly the paper thin Joe D) and I feel they are even better protected - which for me is half the reason I have cards graded. It does hurt the aesthetics of the unaltered scan but I could fiddle with it if I wanted (though I don't alter scans) and it is actually even less noticeable in a well lit photo.

Wow Tim
That's a hell of sub buddy!
You might find this odd but I'm really liking the Lemon. He looks great there and really young! I've seen a similar shot in a team photo pack.
Were you prepared for the Joe D. to come back altered?
I had that happen on a T3 - I was quite disappointed.
Congratulations - really nice.
Those are beauties
The Yogi is one of my all time fav just love that picture

Those look great! Congrats on finding such high grade photos.
I actually told them - there's some writing that was erased lower right ('LEFT FIELD YANKS') and the back shows that it clearly was in a scrap book.
I still think it's a sharp copy and it's just the 56th ever slabbed...
