I dabble in it. Started collecting Byzantine Empire coins after I got most of the Roman Emperor coins (the cheap ones). Then picked up some Anatolian regional coins (e.g. Konya) from the era of Byzantine contraction. Kept going through the Ottoman centuries, and then out of a sense of duty and momentum acquired some type coins from the modern Turkish state. Interesting numismatic legacy when you start with Ancient Greek era and Roman provincial issues!
Indeed!

From Baldwin’s basement.
How difficult would it be to find a much better struck example of the coin? I ask mostly because I'm wondering if the coin should have been net graded for strike. If fully struck coins don't exist, the grade wouldn't take a significant hit for the weak strike. If fully struck coins are the norm, weakly struck coins would be punished.
Doggedly collecting coins of the Central American Republic.

Cool addition.

An example fully struck throughout the whole body of the coin is basically non existent. I have several uncs of different varieties (2 Zolota, Yuzluk, etc.) and have yet to see an example with full details on the entire front and back, and I would doubt that such an example exists. Having said that, I have seen one piece with mint luster and that is extremely rare as well. That piece also lacked details. Depending on how hard you want to look, you can find nice examples all the way down to $35. Most decent raw coins run in the $60-$120 range. Two extremely nice certified pieces just sold on eBay for 180 and 160, maybe.

Just to add 2 more cents, if you buy one, make sure the key parts are visible - date (both parts), mint, ruler, etc.
