Here's a pic from December 1975 when the 4449 was pulling the American Freedom Train through the Tehachapi Loop on its way to the next Display site in Pomona, California.

Views from and at Shimabara Castle in Nagasaki Prefecture.
The pictured volcanos as seen from the castle include the active Mount Unzen which most recently killed people in its 1991 eruption.
Also pictured are Samurai Edo Period coins and Ninja weapons on display in the castle. One floor of the castle is dedicated to artifacts from Christians whoi went underground after the Shimabara Rebellion in 1637. Significantly the Daimyo Feudal Lord who built the castle was himself a converted Christian before Christianity was outlawed in feudal Japan and there is on display in the castle a letter he wrote to the Pope.
Historic documents preserved within the Shimabara Castle including the Christian Daimyo's letter to the Pope: Matsukara Shigemasa, the Daimyo feudal lord who was gifted the land for the castle received it as a reward from the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu who united Japan and under whom Christianity was allowed. It was his son who succeeded him who outlawed Christianity in Japan where it remained suppressed for the next 200 plus years until Japan's isolation came to an end with the Meiji Emperor replacing the Shogunate of the Samurai era in 1867. (The entirety of the Tokugawa Period was 260 years.)
