And returning to the present, this was our Christmas Season Winter View here in the Northland from Yesterday morning as the sunrise illuminated the frosted trees as well as updated views of the Christmas Gingerbread Village now all but completed:
And my photos from the eventful Earthquake from 5 years ago this month - which at magnitude 7.1 was the largest here since the magnitude 9.2 1964 Earthquake, the largest in North America's recorded history. This time though, thankfully there were no lives lost.
(Having experienced both, I'll take a 7.1 over a 9.2 any time.)

At least he wasn’t brushing his teeth at the table. I’ve never seen a toothbrush at a table before. There used to be a player many years ago who would get hot towels from the porter and give himself a sponge bath at the tables while playing.
