Here in Orange the Field of Valor displays 1776 flags honoring veterans, past and present. While I was there a Pipe Major from what appeared to be the Scottish Regiment Black Watch piped dirges amid flags commemorating fallen heroes. To those who served, Happy Veterans Day. To those fallen let us Remember. These photos were taken with my grandfather’s old Minolta SRT200 (with Cinestill 400D film) - he served with the RCAF in WWII.
For this week's Friday. The loss of an iconic theatre:

View of its demolition from the old Federal Courthouse steps on which Drew Barrymore stood in the move, "Big Miracle:"
And a scene from inside the theatre as it was preserved in the movie "Big Miracle." (FWIW the developers have "promised" to preserve the Art Deco murals that adorned each side of the stage/screen, one of which can be seen pictured in this scene of the Governor shaking hands with a whale mascot.)
