A new storm drain system is being put in and here the crew contemplates what to do with a gas line that no one knew about when it was struck by a blade.

Of course so sad to hear the news today that that 102 temperature in Texas contributed to another border tragedy. Gratitude to the unappreciated and brave Border Patrol Agents for saving what lives they could.
This furry feline is a six-toed (polydactyl) and a descendant of Ernest Hemingways cat Snow White.
Currently there are 58 cats roaming his property in Key West.

(In the first photo one can see a view of the prior referenced gas line that was struck bringing the gas company and the firemen to the scene.)
Note the buried protective sheeting and styrofoam insulating slabs added here in the Northland to protect against cracking and heaving damage to the eventual pavement when winter turns to spring.

The one and only time I got to see and hear the Boston Pops play it was in Chicago led by Arthur Fiedler. I was in high school and visiting Chicago as part of a 4-H Convention. Their performance was a most memorable experience.
In my neighborhood, the Chicago Midway Airport community. Where many Police Officers & Firefighters reside.
They held a cookout where one fallen officer's home is. Very awesome gesture!
