Friday has arrived and keeping with the 9-11 theme honoring First Responders, pictured is a photo from last night as firemen responded to a car on fire in an attached garage. The friends were hosting a Zoom meeting I was attending along with a dozen or so others. Just as the meeting began we heard a smoke alarm go off in their house and we heard the host yell fire. Pictured is their still smoldering car after it had been pulled from the garage saving the rest of their house from igniting.
Definitely a reminder of how much we continue to rely upon those who serve us to save property and lives and how much we owe them for their sacrifices.
California dreaming. I remember better days.
My prayers go out to all people that have been displaced by these horrible fires. I know first hand how hard it can be for a family to lose everything they own.
Stay strong my brothers and sisters.
Top picture is of highway 70 bridge in, Butte county. The second is above my home the other night.
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
You are right @Twobitcollector you don't see many clippers any more. I did belong to a car club at one time and you didn't see any there. I am just guessing here, but probably not that many parts.
Apple picking yesterday on a beautiful New England September day.
Apple crisp, apple bread and apple pies in the oven. Pork shoulder went in the slow cooker before breakfast. Tonight’s dinner with apple sauce on the side.

I knew her as Tammie Jo Bonnell. We were both flight instructors at NAS Chase Field some 30 years ago..

Agree. Someone will get triggered and report that post. Hopefully this thread won't get closed.

Yes and if I recall correctly drove through it on the route from Canada heading south. Montana was most impressive.

Views from and in the kitchen......

This afternoon's scenery seen along the route walking back to the office after dropping off the mail.
And Mountains Foraker and Denali (f/k/a Mt. McKinley) looming over the horizon this afternoon. (Foraker on the left, Denali on the right.)
You don't see many of these.

Should add that those mountains are close to 200 miles distant by road and 133 miles away as the crow flies.

It would be real nice if we could keep this thread for PHOTOS and the HUMOR thread for memes and funny stuff.
It may keep this thread from going POOF.
