Did you crack all of those or buy them raw? Very cool
All bought raw. And all the same date (1911). It was a few years ago, and I've ended up selling a majority of them by now. I think I only have 15 1911's left, but I still have enough other dates I could maybe pull off the picture again, lol.
This thread has me on the edge.. of my seat, of my sanity, of a breakthrough..... well, on the edge of something... I will say, it is a unique idea... Cheers, RickO
Top: Edge of pattern 1907 Eagles showing irregular size of stars. The edge collar was cut by machinists, not Engraver Barber. (He was on vacation in August 1907.)
Bottom: Edge of Extremely High Relief double eagle pattern MXMVII. The same 3-part collar was used on the Barber/Morgan 1906 prototype double eagle. This photo was made using a concave mirror (much like a flashlight reflector), then transforming the circular image into a straight line using Photoshop tools. The slight irregularity is from the coin not being perfectly centered in the mirror.

Obverses & Reverses not welcome. Don't mess this up!
Are those the edges of the 2 different Canadian Dimes in 1968?
I'm not sure what yr it was, but the Mint had an issue with the reeded edges on the gold eagles. The same denomination had 2 different counts of reeds.

Will you be doing rims next?

You bet. I could've started another CAC thread, but I like myself too much.

Lincoln cent (no date). A planchet-feeding error resulted in the planchet being absolutely vertical (and spinning) when the dies struck.

Ignore the stuff in the center...
We need to have a thread for imaging CAC stickers only or for TPG labels - no coins. That's what so many care about anyway.
The edges are down there somewhere...

Hey Paradisefound, which medal is that?
I've also got one of those -- definitely very high relief. Mine is an inaugural medal for the 37th President dated January 20, 1969.

Here is Mark's annular edge photo rolled out. Slight distortion is due to the coin not having been perfectly centered.
