If you are concerned with the 'dark spots'.. it looks like residues... possibly from a dip of some type, or maybe someone spilled root beer on the coin (just a humorous concept)...definitely appears to be a stain of some type. Cheers, RickO
The coin needs to be conserved. Very often, chemical residues (clear at first) change color over time. When they start to appear, they have some of the characteristics of "flow" you would associate with a liquid. The dark brown color on silver is usually associated with a dipped coin that was not neutralized completely.
It looks like a PL coin, that will definitely show up on those mirrors!
