    The dime has been 'spooned'...a process that taps on the edge continuously to round it over... often the center is then cut out to make a ring. The one pound coin looks normal... pictures are terrible. Cheers, RickO

    These photos are so horrible that it reinforces the thought that the OP is just spoofing/abusing the other member of this forum and that it is intentional.

    The dime is a face value coin and that style of one pound coin is no longer in circulation in the United Kingdom. While you might (or a U.K. citizen might) be able to still redeem it if you are in Britain, the coin has little or no value in the United States. The combination of edge reeding and words is typical for most round pounds 1983 - 2016.
