Did you get the shaft on grades? Most of the coins above sell for a couple of bucks, already graded on eBay.

    Don't be a jerk!!!!!

I was not trying to be. Every coin outside of the 1971 can be had for less than the $16 grading fee. Thus the question, what happened?

You submit your coins and I'll submit mine.

Fair enough, but my question still remains, did you get the shaft? It is a legit question these days. If you didn't and you were hoping for the grades above, more power to you!

I would think one is always hoping for higher grades,,,,,,,,,,,

Might be a world record turn around for Modern. Bet those 67 silvers are pretty. Congrats.

  • TetromibiTetromibi Posts: 940 ✭✭✭✭✭

In my experience, when my modern grades pop that fast, something has gone horribly wrong.

I'm usually scared to check when that happens. The 2-3 times this has happened to me, the grades were a disaster.

:) Good turn around @GRANDAM and post some pictures :)

That is the first turnaround in 'days' that I have heard of... Congratulations...Cheers, RickO

I agree with Rabbit here. Seems like an expensive submission considering the results.

You can always crack and resubmit and hope
for a longer turnaround time. ;)

Fast. I am waiting for better quarterly special to submit lots of coins to grade or cross over.

  • djmdjm Posts: 1,558 ✭✭✭✭✭

I still have a modern from 7/3/2018, that isn't done yet. Maybe they are going to give me a CAM or DCAM on the SMS coins.

I think @Wabbit2313 is asking if you agree with the grades. PCGS can be very brutal and has been super tight the last few months. I have had CACed rattlers downgrade upon crack out.

  • GRANDAMGRANDAM Posts: 8,353 ✭✭✭✭✭

Then he should have asked without implying that they are $2 coins. I will make money on the submission.

My apologies, when coins are real cheap I use the word, couple of bucks.

The point of this thread was to recognize the fast turn around times at PCGS.

I never can understand why some people think they have to put down things that mean absoutely nothing to them.

But I guess that you are one of those "Know it all's" who is smarter than everyone else.

You sure went to alot of trouble to prove your wisdom,

I would appreciate your not posting to my threads.

    I removed my comment.

I have sold thousands of Eisenhower Dollars. I know what I can get for them and selling at no reserve auctions is not the way I do it.

Many collectors can afford to lose a little money here and there and looks like you got excellent service. Compare to bad habits like gambling, etc. this is a pretty positive hobby activity.

As long as the OP is happy with the grades, I am happy for him.

I'm closing in on 2 months for a restoration. I know those are different though. I might have to get an economy sub together and see if it gets back first :)

I want to like this post, but it would come off as mean. I like the comment and not the devastation value wise. I have stopped submitting until I see things normalize, which is really a pain because I have a lot of pieces I would like to have regraded before selling.

Uh that is not nice in any statement..... :s

It can be a good thing depends on who is getting it and who wants it. ;)
