Eating some crow myself today, grade here.

Looks even better in hand than I expected and I expected it to look pretty good. Been a good week.

I think it has a wonderful band of green, a money color. the obverse will probably limit the grade, though, even with the clean reverse.

    PCGS --- MS63+.
    NGC --- MS64*.

what works against it is that the three primary marks, one in the hair, two in the fields, are fresh and untoned which makes them easily visible. I suppose the color is bright and vibrant, is that true??

Awesome coin...personally, I like beautiful toners with clean reverses. I like the contrast.

    Thanks for sharing!

For a fan of colorful toners that one is lovely. I like it a lot. Normally I prefer color but somewhat more muted and bullseye, but that is a special example. Congrats.

A very pretty coin, there are a lot of bag marks and hit on libby's face, and something going on around the bottom of her nose, but overall a stunning coin. Are you getting it graded?

Is that toning the bright neon toning? If so, NICE! I'll go along at 64.

Pretty toning, but all those bag marks on face should limit grade to 61 - 62.

PS: This is why it's a MS-61 or 62. This is a red channel image from the OP's original. It shows some, but not all, of the surface damage hidden by toning. (Additional marks can be seen in green and blue images; also HSL.) The toning is very attractive, but grade and pretty colors are not the same thing.

    It's a distinctive coin for a Morgan. I'm thinking a 63 at PCGS.

Sorry. Not interested in betting. Your highest resolution image was used. All of the black marks across Liberty's face and neck, the deep arc behind her head, and the diagonal white marks in her hair are damage from contact with other coins, not "toning." The wide, dark diagonal band is part of the toning.

I hope you are successful. :)

Nice looking Morgan! It is a 63 any day of the week and depending on luster it could 64 or 64+... Strike is all there and unusual for a good strike in an 84-O.....Keep in mind PCGS will grade both sides of the coin and the reverse looks relatively clean... When you send it in don`t forget to have it Trueviewed you will love them... Nice pick-up!

Sup @RogerB, guess we were both wrong. I guess it got a bump for color lol. 65+.

These photos look nothing like the originals. Show this and people are thinking ms64-ms66

Not surprised the original guesses were 2+ grades lower

They hide the marks on the cheek well. It's no doubt technically overgraded at 5+, to be quite frank. Not selling it either, IDC about the grade.

You'll sell it to me.... >:)
