Has anyone seen errors on mercury dimes dates 1936 to 1945? Would like some in site on values please

Hello I'm new here I have many questions I will start with the 6 error mercury dimes I have. My Grandmother loved error coins she had a bracelet made with 5 and a necklace made with 1 a 1936 there is a backwards s and a D below it where the mint Mark should be.and the date shows to be deffinate doubling and in GOD WE TRUST.ane doubling can be seen just before the Y in Liberty I'll start with this coin 1st please if any one could give me any insight on value. Thank you Trish

Welcome, and if you don't have a copy of the Cherry Pickers Guide, Volume II, get one.
There is a DDO for the 1936p dime.

Uncirculated errors can be worth a wide range of dollars. Depends on rarity and condition of course.
Errors made into jewelry- not much value other than silver scrap. Sorry

@trish53172....Welcome aboard.... First of all, if your coins have been converted to jewelry use, they are now numismatically worthless....still good as keepsakes of course. There is no doubling on the Y in your picture... and the mint mark on Mercury dimes is on the reverse, not the obverse. If your 'backwards s and D' are what your pictures show, that is the designers initials. Cheers, RickO
Mechanical/ejection doubling is VERY
common on the vast majority of dates
of Mercury dimes.
Please understand that you will find
many Merc. Dimes with the date area
doubled. In most cases, it will not be
a doubled die.
Getting a copy of the CherryPicker's Guide
to Die Varieties will be essential in your
education and in understanding the
difference between the various types
of doubling that is seen on our coinage.
@Type2 Thanks for the pictures and layout good job. At least I wont be losing any brain cells from another **questionable ** post!

I Thank everyone that is responding to me so much. And appreciate the advice I will take it to heart. Everyone is so kind. I collected coins myself since I was little then enherrited my grandmother's collections. I started research about 5 years ago on error coins. I thought back to when I was in my 20s and threw away a 1965 double headed quarter cause I thought oh my gosh this won't spend. I say now if I could go back in time I'd kick my own butt get that out of the trash what's wrong with you LOL.
Thank you so very much
Thank you so much, I'm learning, all advice I can get is helpful. The 6 dimes were not harmed at all just well preserved. That's good.
I use google a whole lot for sure just wanted some insight from people that have the knowledge. Thank you so much
The backwards s and D are at the very base of the reverse of the coin
@trish53172 ...We will need pictures to help you....Cheers, RickO
Ok no problem thank you. I will get one and upload it.
Two headed coins are usually fakes, used by amateur magicians.
You can buy them on ebay for cheap.
So you didn't miss out on a big score there.
