Did I call it or what?

I knew that 1919-D in MS 63 that sold last Summer for $21500 would end up in 64 plastic.
Now just waiting for the NGC 63 CAC that sold for $27500 to follow suit.

Looks like the same coin, so it should have the same value .... whatever that is.
Good call, @Walkerfan!
Nice coin. Good call.
Great call
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
I am no expert on Walkers, but is that date known for weak strikes? The left hand looks weak to me. It is a beautiful coin that I would be proud to own. Just asking.
To say that it is known for a weak strike would be a vast understatement.
It is exceedingly rare with a full strike and is the number one strike Rarity in the entire series.

Wow jump from 13k to 39k cpg Sell!
Can’t tell by 2nd photo it is not as detailed to line up the marks/dings. It’s possible but without a better close up can’t tell for sure.

I like the coin. With the 19-D, you have to focus on luster and toning because the strike is going to be lousy.
I will forever wonder how there are the two or so examples in the world with a full center strike.

@WalkerFan - If you would be kind enough to make a call about all my coins going up a point, that'd be great. LOL
Great call and instincts!
I know a good call when I see one. GOOD CALL MAN
You are one serious coin brother, coin brother

If Walkerfan is posting it as the same coin, you can close your eyes and trust it is the same coin.
RIGHT ON
At least they didn’t dip it out to get the grade.
Was it CAC before getting upgraded. That is what I would like to know and if so was it green or gold? But if it did go in and was not CAC why did it get bumped at PCGS and now who is going to pay the guy before the upgraded that sold it.... Does he get the banana or will they at CAC say we will pay you because we did not CAC it?
I bet this is how the seller feels.
Hoard the keys.
I hope you received MS64 money for it. So much for @insider2 's position that grade inflation is harmless.
Is there a link to the thread in which "the call" was made? Thanks.
Monster of a coin regardless - well done!
Good call.... Thanks for showing us .... Cheers, RickO
I need to learn this skill

I don't know if you called it or not. I do know the guy who bought it "called it", since he paid 64 money for it!
I would not have sold that in a 63 holder. Then again it isn't likely that I'd own one anyway.
Same coin for sure.
I understand the strike rarity and all, but I just can't see paying that kind of money on a coin with such a weak strike. I guess people collect for different reasons and that's okay.
