an old plating job
!!!
Either plated or rubbed with mercury....no numismatic value. I have seen a lot of these, even gold plated cents...Cheers, RickO
Here is one I found minted on a clad dime.
Hoard the keys.
I plate old automotive parts by the 55 gallon drum. One of the finishes is clear zinc. I will toss in some dirty copper 1 cent coins in the batches to check strip and plating quality, as they should come out "shiny". .
If you need more of these, send them to me, post paid both ways, and I will make as many as you want for 5 cents each.
that looks like a plate job to me as well, just saying
I found a few gold plated cents over the years.
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
Keep looking. You're not far from me, so you should find more. LOL. I've dumped hundreds of gold plated coins into Coinstars over the last several years.
Most likely plated.. I've found a couple in bank cent rolls over the years.
Plated
thank you
