I finally got around to buying a flag from my local Costco. Turned out that mounting the bracket was a real nightmare due to weight versus a lack of suitable surfaces. Anyway, I had to go to Home Depot to get them to make me custom screws of extra length, and a metal mounting plate, then I had to drill holes into the plate and etc. Quite the ordeal for me, but I’ve been wanting my flag for years and finally got it done about a month ago. Now I put it up first thing in the morning and take it down at dusk — daily.
