Just surprised to see a 58 year old coin in such newer condition. Nothing special I know.

This is the only useful thing I have ever found in a Lowes parking lot.
My Early Large Cents
One of those found my car one time.

Hoard the keys.
That's great! Thanks for the information. How much is it worth? Should I send it in to PCGS?

No PCGS, rims are damaged, don't think it will grade.

What's it worth in its current condition?

when I go shopping at Lowes, I am usually quite happy to find my car in the Lowes parking lot....
Sorry but it doesn't look like one to me.
Let me look at the picture on my PC.
After looking on a larger screen, it is not the variety.
The MM position is off. It's just a cool 1960-D LD that is a mostunusual parking lot find.
Sweet !!!
I occasionally see an older coin such as this in the 'take a penny, leave a penny' box.... Looks like it just come out of a roll or album...Always thought some collector just decided to 'salt' the coin market in his/her area....Cheers, RickO
Couple weeks ago I broke open a roll of pennies in a register. Nice and shiny, like I expected, from an armored car service, then I realized they were memorials.
1977-D
That is pretty cool and most unusual.
I need to take a look each and overtime I pick penny form the parking lot.....never thought of observing it
Around here THD gets most of the business; but it's still the option to go down the road to Lowes, different aprons, different mojo, coins dropped, better/worse quality based on your perspective. Since tipping is against their rules at Home Depot, customers have been known to drop bills on the ground as tips for the heavy lifting workers ("you dropped something").
