Lots of people get flagged. The annoying thing for me is that it often happens on very contentious threads which get poofed, and then while the flag remains, you cant see what post ()or poster) did it.

His personal page still shows 1. I'm going to bet that if you flag a post for abuse it goes on to your page and stays on the post. Then the Mods look at it.
How about an experiment. Flag this post for abuse you dirty rotten scoundrel. Then I'll check my page and see if the total jumps to 30. Then, in thirty minutes, remove the flag from this post. We'll see if my abuse drops back to 29.
PS it may be that the Mods look at the flagged post and they are the ones who are in control of the count. In which case my count will not change from 29 unless they are mad at us for trying to figure out how the site works.

I got majorly flagged for posting a photo of an innocent child who had been taken from her parents.

I am pretty sure it is easy on/easy off like an agree/like/LOL.
On my phone I can't see the names of who clicked what like I can on the PC, but for some reason I still try, so on occasion while I am trying to see who left a flag for someone I click on it but end up leaving one of my own, which I then take off right away.

The old flags were used by NASCAR during race cautions, but now they just pass out marshmallows, pour gas on the track and light it. Keeps the dwindling number of fans amused for a while.....
Still at 29 but flagged for spam and I don't know what my spam count was before. I suspect it works the same for spam and abuse.

Yes... for some reason I thought I would get a ton of LOL’s and Likes... what I got was nearly booted from the community...I learned to play nice quickly.

What is abuse?
Definition of abuse

2 : improper or excessive use or treatment : misuse drug abuse
3 : language that condemns or vilifies usually unjustly, intemperately, and angrily verbal abuse a term of abuse
4 : physical maltreatment child abuse sexual abuse

It can be a complex issue to define accurately.
That raised my abuse count to 30 from 29. Now let's see what happens (down to 29?) if you remove the flag.
I haven't yet, but with my recent attitude change I expect to be a prime candidate.

You forgot #6: constantly posting normal or damaged coins and asking if they are errors or "double dies".

LOL, you have definitely been abused a lot. I mean you have a lot of abuses. Actually, it means 20+ members thought that you abused them in some way. Probably gave them a good tongue-lashing.

For the amount of abuse flags I'm surprised I haven't gotten a message. To be fair half+ are from a banned troll. I'd like to hope the staff either doesn't know me or knows enough that I'm mostly harmless.

You have to be careful here since not everyone has a sense of humor. I made a joke here once and even included the wink emoji. Another forum member reported me and sent what I said to the moderators and conveniently edited out the wink emoji. I received a scathing rebuke and was threatened with banishment. The thread topic was what special tools are used by the PCGS graders. I said that they sometimes resort to the use of a seeing eye dog which I thought everyone would know is a joke because it's so absurd. I've been careful every since.
