The hunt is over

I've been on the hunt for a 1913 Eagle for some time now and I'm happy to say it's over, the hunt :)
What attracted me to this Saint was the luster and the clean fields. Yes there is some chicken scratch on the Indian's cheek but I can live with it and the photography tends to exaggerate these blemishes to a degree. Especially when pics are the size of a dinner plate .
Anyways here ‘t’is. Thanks for looking and any comments you might wish to share are always welcome.
Happy hunting, Joe

Very nice. My first Indian was a 1913. Still have it. I’m looking for a nice Indian for a type coin and a 1932 is a bit boring. It’s so verrrrrrry hard to find one I that I find acceptable at a reasonable price.

Beautiful $10 Indian. I like how you're branching out into gold but keeping with the Indian theme. Very cool.

I think it’s a very nice piece. It’s almost as if these pick up marks on purpose and yours here doesn’t have any one mark I look at right away, allowing me to simply take in the beauty of the color and design.

    Great photo btw.

She is a beauty. I would be proud to own that $10 gold. I hope to find one as clean.

    Congrats on your pickup!!!

Thanks to all for the kind words, much appreciated.
My next target coin will be the 13 double eagle. I’m kinda licking my wounds now so it won’t be for at least a couple of months before I really start looking.
Thanks again and happy hunting, Joe

nice coin, but you know it isn't a Saint, right??

  • CharlotteDudeCharlotteDude Posts: 3,146 ✭✭✭✭✭

Pretty, gorgeous... lovely! It is most definitely a "Saint" as much as the $20 coin... since both were designed by A. Saint-Gaudens.

    Got Crust....y gold?

Yes it is a Saint. LOL. Why isn’t it a Saint? Is it a counterfeit?
Pay no attention to Keets folks. I think he’s confused.

Now that the hunt is over, I guess I can have all the rest of the beautiful buffs to myself!

a double in 63 is kind of pricey so start saving your allowance!

Nice one and way better than sellers images.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

That’s a good question that’s there is no answer for. Now that I’m down to the double eagle I’m really starting to second guess myself.
