I would think that record would be beatable by quite a few collectors/hoarders/speculators.

Tried finding the rule criteria.........very difficult to find...maybe that is why no one has beaten it ?

The Ferrari-driving Lincoln cent hoarder probably has that beat for many years. But to prove it he'd have to sort through millions(?) to separate them by date.

Some members had BOXES and BOXES of recent Lincoln cents. 5000 per box and many boxes...would beat the OP's posted numbers for that dude.

Of course, it would be weird to call that type of thing a "collection" ;)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Just take a couple of million dollars and buy some Mint palettes of new cents.

"Just take a couple of million dollars and buy some Mint palettes of new cents."

Why tie up "millions of dollars"? Do the math. It would only take $515 in Lincoln Cents to match the record, and just a bit more to better it (51,504 total coins).

They that can give up essential Liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither Liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin

Russ probably at one time had more than 51,504 1964 Accented Hair proof Kennedy half dollars. :)

you could pretty easily buy $600 in cents from the same year. Then you would have more than that guy.

I don't see anyone here who is impressed.

I always want to know the backstory to things such as this... Why would someone have such a 'collection'? And why publicize such thing? Cheers, RickO
