    Those medals are awesome! Not cheap, tho.

    Thanks for the comments. Yes they are not cheap but somehow I'm hooked in collecting them. I am watching 10 medal listing on eBay and hoping to win any of them. What makes me nervous though is sellers are from Europe although I haven't lost anything from Europe yet. Just fell in loved with the medals when I saw Ben Weiss medal collection on the internet.
    Thanks again.

    I love the medal but not the "reflection" style photos. A medal like this does not need photo gimmicks.

    All glory is fleeting.

    Yes the reflection style......
    I was just testing a photo editor/editing software (PhotoScape) someone mentioned on the forum a while ago. Neat software especially for improving quality of photos since I am not a professional photographer (and free software). It's my 2nd time doing that on a coin/medal but that Paris Notre Dame medal is my 3rd J.Weiner medal so far and looking forward to owning more. Here is is the medal without reflection....

    ......and I took the photos w/o using a remote or timer that's why it is a little blurry (shaky hands).
    Thanks.

    I also got this on eBay ($25 w/ s/h), any info I can get would be appreciated....

    Nice medal.
    A word of advice. There are more fakes out there than most realize.
    Be careful.
    These show up frequently.

    Lots of fakes on Ebay right now.

    I have always been fascinated by those medals... as DCW said, it looks as if you could walk right in... I remember looking for them at coin shows in the PNW.... and did not find any... They are pricey, but the artwork is really great. Those are items I would have to see 'in hand' if buying. Cheers, RickO

    I only own one but it is a nice one!

    I've always loved those Wiener architectural types. I have a couple from the Belgian series which I recently listed on my website---the cathedrals at Doornik and Tongeren. Those interior views are always mesmerizing!

    Agreed. The fakes seem to be showing up more and more on eBay these days. Be extra careful.

    @Flatwoods
    Thanks for the advice, that link you posted is one of the 9 listings I am watching and planning to bid from that seller and I am know having second thoughts (medals/pictures does looks odd or patina on all medals listed seems to be the same).

    How about this seller, anyone think legit medals? This seller has 5 medals listed.

    @ricko
    I agree with you, I would rather see them on hand to purchase but this past Thursday LB Coin Show did not produce any medals for me to purchase - I was there for medal hunting rather than buy coins/bullion this time. It was fun though.

    Thanks.

    The medal I linked is fake, along with his others.
    The seller you linked in your last post is reputable and the medals are genuine.
