any guesses on the grade?

No real winners here since it hasn't been sent in yet. Just curious. (sorry for the rookie pictures, best I can do)

    Is that a staple scratch behind the eagle's head? If its not and the surfaces original then it looks like a gem.

    Yeah, unfortunately. It's really faint but definitely there.

    I am not sure if it will straight grade with that scratch.

    Weigh it. Other than the scratch, it really looks good.

    Mint State Details, reverse scratched. I'm sorry but I don't think that coin will grade at any reputable TPG. Too bad, because by the look of the photos, that coin's luster appears quite strong.

    Wow...nice coin.. too bad the scratch is so prominent. Likely a details grade... The obverse has really good detail... Cheers, RickO

    Thanks everyone for the feedback. I was afraid that was an expensive scratch. I guess I feel better that I didn't do it..
