@Gluggo - were there some things that stood out about CoinManage that made you select that one? What about the number of images? That might be the deciding factor for me. As far as programs go, CoinManage and Coin Elite are both pretty good. But, with CoinManage I can save four images per coin. With Coin Elite, only two. So, right now, I'm leaning toward CoinManage. Don't know anything about Exact Change, yet. Hope to get to play with that one this coming weekend.
I'm pretty happy with CU's inventory. It's not as flexible as a spreadsheet. But it is online and it works seamlessly with their registries, and accepts photos as well as public and private notes.
It's a little brain-dead about some things, like sorting. Their exporting feature is also messed up.
Lance.
I wish I had my collection on some software of some kind. That way I would remember all the coins I had at one time. A spreadsheet or any type you can get, you should list all the coins you have.

I will try Eric work has be bowed up and with the addition of another puppy its been quite a bit to keep up especially when I had to work Saturdays and Sunday. Hopefully I can rest this weekend and I will play with them both and come back here to give an assesment.
I use Excel for various collections. But have always wanted to manage and track coins with an Access data base for both coins that I own and coins that I want.
Over 20 years ago I designed a Microsoft Access database for myself with a front-end form to enter new coins into my inventory. Also wrote many queries to total things, retrieve information, etc. Over the years, I've updated it to newer versions of Access. It's not perfect, but it does what I need it to do.
I am a dinosaur--I just use log books. I do keep ALL (coin and numismatic literature) receipts for taxation purposes, so that I can justify my (non-labor) costs after a sale is made.

Anyone know if Coin Manage (or Coin Manage Deluxe) works for colonial coins??
I use coin manage. You can edit the registry very easily to add any date, MM, country, or any variable you like. Colonial coins are not a component of the default included coins.
Been away for awhile. I downloaded the coin elite demo and noticed no data info for US Proof Sets and Silver Proof Sets.
Am I missing it or is it not included in the program ?
Thanks

I use a program called US Coin for Mac. I don’t know if they’ve ever done one for Windows, though. Very easy and intuitive.
Me too,,,,,, I can create anthing I want and make as many rows and columns as I want.
