One Thin Dime, WOW!!! Major Error coin came out of the Washing Machine.......

ctf_error_coinsctf_error_coins Posts: 15,433 ✭✭✭✭✭

.... is what my wife first thought as her husband is a major error coin dealer.

When she handed me the coin, I Said OMG this is great, you actually found this in the washing machine? YES.

This is an extremely exciting find for an error coin dealer. Super cool and tells me just how common this is for it to happen at my house, WOW !! Super Cool!!!!!

Wow, that's the best washing machine coin I've seen yet!

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

I have never seen a coin come out of the washing machine looking like that.... not saying it did not happen... strange things occur in there, and also the number of cycles will affect them. That one looks as if it were caught for a while....You can list it on ebay as a 'R@RE MINT MACHINE TRAPPED DIME'.... :D Cheers, RickO

Without divulging a price, how much do you want for it and could you have it slabbed?

Remember when you're washing your change, put in an article of clothing or two in there just to buffer the noise!!

I think you would need to put one in the dryer, so we can be sure which type of laundry error it is for sure.

By the looks of it, IT's scratched off a million already.
At sone point you have to change out the lucky coin.

That's like saying I have a lucky dime because it took the bullet for me.

So that's how you get a filled "D" mint mark. Am waiting for a coin sent to the dry cleaners to come back. Can't wait to see the effects present on the dry cleaned piece.
