Looks like holding user's images hostage demanding a $400 annual subscription fee was a bad move that cost them a lot of business over the last year and their CEO his job.

As of today, all hosted images that Photobucket’s customers had lost access to last year have been restored.

Too little, too late. I cancelled my account and deleted all my photos there. A lot of my earlier posts here will continue to have broken image links.
