Does anybody else like this look on coins?

I'd love to have an album of AU55-58 Morgan Silver Dollars. There's something rugged but elegant to them. Many times along the way someone held up a coin and decided to tuck it away.
Someone who we will never know, who picked them out and took care of them, so we get to enjoy them all these years later. The one thing we know about "collector #1" is that they loved coins, too. Especially when a shiny dollar was food for a long time! Few people carried notes.
On AU this toning.. it's fantastic!

I do.
i am not a toner guy, but the more i look at this one, i kinda like it
I'm sort of hit & miss with it. It depends on the coin for me.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
If you're referring to understated toning that frames the coin's design nicely, yes.

Does anybody else like this look on coins? Yep, anything in that holder looks good to me.
I do - looks like Dansco album toning.
Has that nice pleasant look.
I like it greatly and the AU58 is my favorite grade. It has a look that allows every detail of the coin to show up, yet lets you know that it was most likely in commerce of the day.

I like Morgans, I enjoy the AU58 grade on big silver... I prefer mine without the tarnish. All that being said, I agree with what you say about 'someone' putting the coin away and preserving it for the future....Cheers, RickO
Yes, I do but they sure do not do well in the marketplace. When I sell I get no extra for that rim toning look.
It's a shame, too.
