I just experienced my Pay Pal account have a reversal of Payment to the Buyer (Or maybe) from Ebay, without my consent!

I called Paypal and complained. Turns out this has happened more than once with Pay Pal. They do not know why they think there is a Bug at Ebay. I called Ebay to let them know and after this happened to my account there is NO RECORD OF SALE EVER HAPPENING ON EBAY'S WEBSITE.

Ebay spokes person was at a loss of word but thanked me for reporting it. For if there is NO record of transaction there is no % charge to my account. Now what happened to that money that left my account I do not know and who received the monies is a mystery. So be aware Ebayer's. Thought I should pass it on. It happened to me, I was lucky enough to print out a shipping receipt. The ebayer who bought my coin I dont even know if they can contact me, through Ebay. Pay Pal would be the only way to contact me. Very strange.

Did the buyer file a SNAD or ask for a return? I had that once, buyer filed a SNAD before item even arrived at their place and eBay took the moneys back....

Is the completed listing still visible?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

The Ebay sale listing vanished. Like it never happened. Only the Pay Pal records remain. The buyer did not ask for a return. That was verified by the Ebay rep who was scratching his head. He also heard of this happening I am guessing the refund from Pay Pal was intercepted by the persons involved. But I did get my money back and the person will get his coin as his address is listed on Pay Pal.

Right now its like he bought it on Pay Pal and not Ebay as there is NO record of the sale. Strange I just looked again and no sale.

Seems there is a software glitch... have they updated lately? Very strange if ebay cannot track it.... Cheers, RickO

Hope ebay can find out what the problem was/is. If not... and it continues to happen to sellers... sellers will start to jump ship and ebay business will suffer. Everyone relies on a trustworthy system.

Many have already jumped. Last man standing will pay 100% final value fee to cover the lost volume.

I know this would not work for everyone but often times after a sale I move the $ out if PayPal. I use the account as a pass thru, not a bank account.

Not for nothing but I work my PayPal the same way you do. It works for me.

This is odd, at least weird stuff is not just happening to me. I bought an inexpensive item via ebay($5 or so) and 2 days later I get a notice from ebay that the seller had cancelled the sale at my request and the seller had refunded my money through paypal. Sure enough the sale was cancelled, but I never received any funds. Luckily, I kept all emails and details of the sale. Surely, some oddities happening.

That is exactly what I do, however there was another sale by another person. I was coming home from work and had NOT had the chance to TRANSFER the MONEY. The amount happened to be exactly the same and they Pay Pal took the monies from another sale. AT that point I had a ZERO Balance. I had to make a double head shake because there was a recorded record of a REFUND. I never authorized a REFUND nor do I OFFER a REFUND. (bad subject i know sorry) :D

So when I called Pay Pal I was quite upset and my anger was showing on the other end of the phone. The lady was very nice and took both barrels of my anger and redirected it with the fact this has happened before and once I was able to PROOVE the sale via the Pay Pal transaction she IMMEDIATLEY put the money back. I calmed down APPOLOGIZED because once she said it was a BUG/HACKING I understood. I also called EBAY and reported it. Like I said VERY STRANGE.

I have had a chargeback suddenly come through paypal a month or more after a transaction for $1800 or so after the sale to Canada. The buyer claimed he did not get it more than a month after the transaction; fortunately I was protected and it was reversed.

I tracked a guys package on the app and it refunded his money. Ebay didn't believe me and told me to pound sand. Suddenly this error doesn't exist anymore but now I'm out 50 bucks.

never call ebay, always call paypal as they are your banker.
