This is the last coin I cherrypicked....

I was communicating with John Roberts at ANACS for quite some time and at some point we were discussing hard to find Vam Morgans. He challenged me to find one of these raw. After about 3 years I finally did it. I was really surprised it was MS! I decided to let him attribute it and grade it for me. That was many years ago. I quit collecting soon after to pursue other hobby interests. Something has led me back to coins recently. Just wanted to share the story. Things seem a lot different now than they were back in the mid-late 2000s! Thanks in advance to anyone interested and willing to reply.

Your coin reminds me of the old saying:
"Twenty pairs of jeans is fifteen too many."
Welcome back! Cool VAM!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Nice find. Even looks conservatively graded !
Thanks. It's not a great picture. Unfortunately, coin photography was never a strength of mine! Lol. There is the normal bag mark chatter in the prime focal area consistent with the 62 grade, it's just harder to tell in this particular shot.
I have dabbled in lots of hobbies over the past several decades and I always end back at this place.
What's up with that!
Great pick. I can't even begin to fathom how many 1883's I've looked at over the years trying to find that one.
Yes it looks like a very nice Morgan $ and welcome back to the board. PS get picking again.
Hoard the keys.
Nice catch.... I am not a VAM collector, but would be interested in seeing a magnified picture of the stars....Never mind, I looked it up.... Cool VAM.... and I saw the other PUP's....Now I will be looking for this one... Cheers, RickO
Thanks for the replies everyone. It's weird. I had what I thought was quite a bit of Vam knowledge back then...but when I start to look at some of my old notes and info I took at the time it looks completely foreign to me now.
I guess it's one of those "getting older" issues! lol
My 2014 Vamview price guide shows a retail of $1,900 in MS 62. Very nice Morgan.
