Even worse are the slabs. Want to guess where all the cards Brent "bought back" under the direction of the Feds to avoid prison time have ended up? MBA slabs.Arthur
This. Plus with Mike's history at PSA and then GAI of slabbing trimmed cards coupled with his current financial backer and him getting caught working with Moser and stickering trimmed cards, I think buyer beware of any MBA stickered card and especially MBA holdered cards which are now showing up on MHCC and Heritage.
Besides trimmed cards getting holdered and stickered under the previous PWCC scheme, it came to light that auctions of those cards were getting shilled like crazy.
But that couldn't possibly be happening again.
I think calling out high end for the grade cards through a sticker isn't really the issue here--I don't have have a problem with the idea itself. To me, the issue is the players, financial backers, past history with dishonesty and corruption which calls into question the credibility of this whole operation.
Re: What is your opinion on the 2026 uncirculated set ??
I worry that I will be stuck with a couple grand of mint product, for which I will have to beg Lanza to buy at cost and split-shipping. Or, have endless two-thread giveaways and “board member deals” on BST.

Re: Seller on ebay doesn't know anything about his coin...Just that it's rare...
eBay looked into my two reports - one that the coin wasn’t genuine and the other, that the seller was misrepresenting the coin as being certified by NGC and CAC. And they determined that the listing wasn’t in violation of their policy.

Yes, that must be the listing, but please don’t bid on it.😉

Re: Another MBA question
How does MBA handle situations where a card is identified as being likely altered? Do they decertify like PSA?

Re: What were your worst show experiences?
@Colonialcoin
@BillJones
I had a similar experience as a dealer many years ago, a guy came up to my table smelling soooo bad!
I put up with as long as i could then politely asked him to leave…

@Colonialcoin, how did the dealer react to the smell of his customer? I hope the smelly guy had an equally strong checkbook.
I hope that the dealer made some money. I certainly wasn’t going to stick around to find out.
