Re: 230th Anniversary Flowing Hair High Relief Gold Coin (24YG)
Very true lol, my bid was just a contingency bid i placed like a month ago if it sold unusually cheap for some reason, I really had no intention of winning.
When I truly want something, someone's planning on a loooong-term relationship if they make me into the underbidder.
Re: Strong Prices at the Stacks Bowers Sale
I missed out on buying a pattern late last year direct from a well known dealer. Someone was faster than me! Bought the same coin sold for $2k less in the auction last week. I was pleased!

forget about that. That's a lie. it can take 2 to 4 weeks depends on the auction. If they ship in a week I would consider fast. A week is 5 days because we should not count weekend.

I have two customers that come by store are always griping about the parking costs, but spend mid 4 figures plus
Well I spent $600 so…

I would say 4 or more purchases a year.
I think the key to getting super fast checking is to use eCheck for payment.
Ever since I went that way, shipping has been super fast, a few times next day in my hand.
edite to add: Oh, @MFeld
Re: Being a fan, Any transition to another Team stories??
I have stuck with the Patriots and Red Sox since I was a kid when they were not good, the only other team I really ever rooted for was the Dallas Cowboys as a kid because I was a Tony Dorsett fan, I am happy to see the Bruins and Celtics do well but never invested too much into them as far as caring too much

Re: Your thoughts on this raw 1951 Proof Set. Update - the cent and nickel are back with me.
TTT.
The dime graded PF65.
The quarter graded PF66CAM.
The half graded PF65CAM.
Quite a nice raw proof set.
