Do CACG slabs fit into PCGS boxes? No, the CACG slabs that I have received do not fit. They (CACG) are working on a box that will hold all types. Not sure the release date.
Actually, the CACG holder will fit into a standard PCGS box. You have to put it diagonally into two slots, and it fits fine with the top on. If I had a whole bunch I would want a better solution.
Re: Show us what will probably be your last coin purchase for 2024
My last purchase was very humble. Business is slow for me this time of year.
Looking forward to next year though!
Re: Classic Commemoratives on the rise?

Classic commemoratives will be “on the rise” only when more people want them. I don’t see that happening now, if ever.
From what I have observed, most of the action is with the "trophy coins" starting with the two Pan-Pac $50 gold pieces and then key, “rare issues,” like the Hawaiian half dollar. The rest of the series, especially the common issues are fairly flat.
In a way this is an opportunity for pure collectors. There are some great books on the “old commemoratives” and the level of enjoyment is quite high. At the same time, you won’t have investors driving up the prices artificially for “a score.” The days of using these pieces has “investment vehicles” are over.
Re: 1795 FH H10c
My grade would be Gd6 details, damaged. Any US coin with a readable date beginning 179 is collectible, imo.
Re: 1795 FH H10c
Even if they call it environmental damage at least you will get genuine I think. Unless they find a reason not to do so but the coin looks genuine to me.
Re: CACG Slabs (how are they shaking out in the market price wise ?)
I’ve bought maybe a dozen or so, all IHC’s & gold types. I like the look, the slabs & the grading standards they seem to use. It seems the prices paid are a bit higher than other TPG’s. Even though I’m strictly a PCGS Registry set devotee at this time, it doesn’t stop me from buying what I think is a nice CACG example.
Re: Oops! Errors Happen
Happens all the time on the PCGS Reg page when I try and do some things with my sets.... I don't know who to contact because I have contacted PCGS reg set email and nothing happens...crickets....
Edited to add that it happens when I try this: Report a Cert That Should Match This Composite

I checked my GC invoices for the past year - I guess spending only $23K with them in 2024 wasn't enough to qualify for a calendar.
I did a lot of 2023 business and didn't get a calendar. I sent @ianrussell a message and he got me one immediately. I would send him a note, as basically everyone agrees, he runs his business the right way and will probably take care of it.
